Welcome, friend! I'm so glad you're here.
Root & Bloom was created from two things that have the power to change lives: creativity and connection. Whether you're joining a paint party, shopping for a handmade gift, or creating something special with your own hands, my hope is that you leave feeling inspired, encouraged, and reminded that you're never alone.
The story of Root & Bloom began long before the business.
My best friend, Cristal, and I were true soul sisters from the moment we met. For over twelve years we dreamed together, crafted together, and imagined all the ways we could bring joy to other people. Cristal had an incredible creative mind and could turn any idea into something beautiful. She was happiest quietly creating behind the scenes, while I loved bringing people together and making those ideas come to life.
As our children grew up and life entered a new season, we decided to start a handmade business—something that would let us keep creating while sharing that joy with others.
Then, in August of 2022, everything changed.
Cristal lost her battle with mental health after fighting silently. Her passing forever changed my life and became the reason this business would become so much more than crafts.
A few months later, my husband and my mom gently encouraged me to keep our dream alive. We bought one machine... then another... and before long our family, friends, and customers surrounded me with encouragement. What started as a way to heal grew into craft shows, custom creations, and eventually paint parties filled with laughter, conversation, and community.
Cristal always said that if she could do anything, she would be a party planner. Every paint party I host is a little piece of that dream. Every handmade item, every smiling customer, every conversation across a table reminds me that kindness has a ripple effect.
That's why Root & Bloom exists.
Our mission is to create beautiful things, meaningful experiences, and safe spaces where people can connect, slow down, and simply breathe. We proudly support mental health awareness because we believe creativity can be healing, conversations can save lives, and no one should ever feel they have to struggle alone.
Every order, every class, every paint party, and every shared smile helps keep Cristal's spirit alive while growing a community rooted in kindness, creativity, and hope.
